The first step to saving for Disney is to do something easy, simple, and something fun for the kids. Get a jar. A piggy bank. Something easy for the kids to drop coins in. Get some Disney stickers and let your child put stickers all over the jar as a reminder that this is the saving for Disney jar!
The point of this is to have something tangible for your children to look at. Any loose coins should be deposited into the saving for Disney jar. Find coins in the car. Loose dollars can go in this jar to that you would otherwise spend on coffee. For those of you who think coins don’t add up…well you are wrong. My mother had a pencil coin bank that she would drop loose change in. After a few years she decided to give it to me when it was full. So far I have counted over $200 in that coin bank, and I’m not done.
I found a few pictures on Photobucket of jars that could be used for saving for Disney! Of course, you could always get a Disney piggy bank like the Pirates of the Caribbean Bank.
