Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is probably the most popular value resort at Walt Disney World of all values according to many forums I’ve lurked in. I have never personally stayed there but have decided that when I do stay at a value resort for the first time, it will be Pop Century. There are several themes across Pop Century’s buildings all decorated in 1950′s, 1960′s, 1970′s, 1980′s, and 1990′s memorabilia. According to DisneyWorld.com, “Disney’s Pop Century Resort is a Disney Value Resort hotel featuring giant icons that salute many of the 20th-century popular culture crazes—including toys, gadgets, music, movies, fads and catch phrases“.

Features of Disney World’s Pop Century Resort:

  • 3 swimming pools
  • Concierge desk
  • Valet laundry services
  • Coin operated laundry machines
  • Babysitting services (yay!)
  • Quick Service Dining in the food court
  • Playground
  • Rooms have either 2 double beds or 1 king bed
  • Pack n Play available
  • Refrigerator for EXTRA charge
  • Bus transportation is offered to Disney theme parks, other Disney World resorts, Downtown Disney, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
  • Pop Century does not share a bus with other resorts

Currently, the price to stay at Pop Century is $85 for a standard room and $100 for a preferred room. Fall 2011 season rates are between $95 to $110 a night.
